KITEBOARDING LESSON PROGRAMME
Beginner kiteboarding programme:
- Basic wind theory, location choice
-The Wind Window is the area in which you will fly the kite. It will be impossible to fly the kite outside this area. In this section, have a basic understanding of the Wind Window and its components.
-Neutral zone
-Power zone
-The different positions of the kite in the Wind Window are usually determined in terms of numbers or degrees. If the kite is at twelve o’ clock, the kite is just above the rider’s head. At 11 o’ clock, the kite is just left of the top, and when the kite is at two o’clock, it is to the right of the top.
- Safety system and use
-Kite surfers need to test their quick release systems before trying them out. By testing the quick release systems rather than trusting the assertion of manufacturers, product sellers, or anyone in particular, you will actually know for sure that they would work out when the situation calls for it.

- Setup of the Bar and Lines
- Explantion and demonstration of the "Wind Window"
- Fly 4 and 5 line kites
- Launching and landing of the kite
-Launch an land the kite with assistance
-Find the right angle to launch, check, and give the OK sign.
-Turn the kite around by yourself. The reason for this is two-fold. First of all, the wind can blow the kite lines onto your kite, so pay attention to the lines and make sure that they are in the original position when the kite was placed on the beach.
-Make sure that your assistant knows that he must only let go after you give him the OK sign and that you are referring to the thumbs up sign and nothing else.
-Before landing, give the international sign for landing and slowly pilot your kite down.
-Your assistant must take hold of the leading edge of the kite near the center.
-As soon as your assistant takes hold of the kite, walk towards him or her to ease the tension in the lines.
-He or she must not let go of the kite until you have recovered it.
- Different kite sizes and characteristics

-A Kite is measured based on its overall surface area when it is laid flat on the ground. Kites come in various sizes ranging from 7 square meters to 21 square meters or even larger. The bigger the kite, the more power at a given wind speed. The heavier the rider, the larger the kite needed.
-In general:
Small Kite = light riders + strong wind conditions
Large Kite = heavier riders + light wind conditions

The starting position is right to the top of the windwindow, moves through the powerzone, and returns on the edge of the wind window.
